  The shoe selection will satisfy those with a fetish.. feminine, practical, buying for kids.. etc. The card selection is of good quality, featuring local artists, as part of the merchandise. Lots of nick-nacs great for finding something a little more unusual for that special person on your list. Make sure you have a hour to mozzy around the different departments, as there are connections between different buildings to make the wandering interesting. There are 2 highways to use: the #15 between Ottawa and Kingston, and #10 between Westport and Kingston..both are scenic!

  To start I would like to say that I shop at Kilborns regularly as my family and I like to shop local. We keep money in our local economy and out of big box stores. Today I will not be shopping or recommending anyone go to Kilborns. My husband purchased a pair of winter boots for me for Christmas. When he purchased them he asked if they didn’t fit would they be able to order the size I needed and the sales person said yes for sure. I went into Kilborns last night as I need winter boots and wanted to exchange them for a bigger size. I couldn’t find anyone to help me in the shoe department so went to the front desk twice to get help. There were no sizes left in the boots my husband purchased, so I was shown another winter boot, but they did not have my size in that either. I was also reminded a few times that the store closes at 5:00 and it was 4:50. I asked if they could order my size and I was told they could not. I asked if there was anyway they could find me another pair and they said no. It was suggested that I could come back in the spring to get some sandals. I asked if I could have a return because they didn’t have the product and could not get the product I needed. They said no. I now have a $336.74 store credit and still need winter boots. I am quite discouraged and would have happily waited for a pair to be ordered in, exchanged them if they had my size or purchased another winter boot in stock that would fit. Now I am out $336 and have no winter boots. I feel as though my husband was lied too by staff when they said they would be able to order in a size if needed. I believe they said that to him just to get the sale. I will be contacting the BBB and speaking to them about this because I am now $336 and have no boots. This is quite disheartening because I truly do like the uniqueness of this small town store.

  If you want to shop in a quaint shop, Kilborn's delivers. Here you'll find top notch new stylish products that will make you the envy of the town. You'll find clothes, kitchen products, furniture of quality, hardware and more. It's a general store "style of shop that you can spend hours searching for that special something. BUT BEWARE, some items are pricy (ex. Clark shoes).
